Elkhart Spring Festival

A very unique opportunity will be available to folks attending Elkhart's Annual Spring Festival on Saturday May 17 from 8 to 5pm.

A dedicated group of collectors of Indian Flints and Artifacts will be on hand with displays of their own finds for the public to view and will also demonstrate the art of flint knapping (arrowhead or point making).

The public is invited to bring along their own finds to show the group who will help identify and date the pieces.  This is a rare chance to talk to our local experts about this fascinating subject and get an opinion on their own pieces.

Local Bill Bryson, a life long collector, will also have reference books on hand and will speak on the subject.   Eldon Launer and Jack Alspaugh round out the group with Danny Morris demonstrating flint knapping.

Larry Wilham, another area local, will demonstrate whittling while the Graham brothers, Bruce and Bob will have a display of primitive weaponry.

It will be  a very special opportunity not to be missed.
